christmas eve

Home made chocolate rum and raisin truffles - delicious after dinner sweets. I also packaged some of these up nicely as gifts to some family members.
Lemon meringue pie in the making. I treated myself to a new flange tin a few days before Christmas, and I needed a good excuse to use it.
This Christmas we really wanted to make room for our friends, as its always a struggle trying to juggle family and friends at Christmas time. Fortunately, all our close friends were free at lunch time on Christmas Eve, so we made the most of it with a lovely BBQ lunch on our deck. It felt very Australian. And our new outdoor table was perfect for the occasion.
